[And likely never will be, as far as ugly __declspec(dllexport) is concerned.] __declspec is not really a problem. The actual problem is MAYBE_INLINE hack. On non-ELF platforms (such as Darwin, MinGW) it causes linker errors due to to multiple definition of the same symbol.
But now I'm confused: if it's not clean [yet], why include that macro? OK, let's skip it.
