Hello all, For those interested in factorization over finite fields, Victor Shoup's library NTL (which is used as a module for some "world records" established by MuPAD (if you can call it "established" (MuPAD as a mere frontend))) has just been released by the author under the GPL license. Of course, it is still a long way from there to factorization of multivariate polynomials over ZZ but it may be start. Regards -rbk. -- Richard Kreckel <Richard.Kreckel@Uni-Mainz.DE> <http://wwwthep.physik.uni-mainz.de/~kreckel/>

Hmm, looks like I was so excited I completely forgot about a pointer. Well, here it is: <http://www.shoup.net/ntl/>. Regards -rbk. -- Richard Kreckel <Richard.Kreckel@Uni-Mainz.DE> <http://wwwthep.physik.uni-mainz.de/~kreckel/>
